Dele Momodu: Wike Defied Tinubu’s Peace Agreement, Fubara Now Faces Unfair Impeachment Threat

Dele Momodu, a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has weighed in on the political crisis between Rivers State

Governor Siminalayi Fubara and former Governor Nyesom Wike.

In an exclusive interview on The Honest Bunch Podcast by Glitch Africa Studios, Momodu revealed that President Bola Tinubu had intervened in the crisis by bringing both parties together and facilitating a peace agreement. According to him, while Governor Fubara adhered to the terms of the agreement, Wike did not.

Momodu expressed concern over the situation, stating that it is unfair for Fubara to face impeachment threats from the Amaewhule-led House of Assembly while Wike remains unchallenged.

“Tinubu was the one who called both parties and made them sign an agreement. Fubara complied, but Wike refused. It is unfair that Wike will get away with everything while Fubara is now being threatened with impeachment,” Momodu said.

He further criticized Wike, stating, “Any man who disrespects his own president and his own boss is not worth being protected.”
