Senator Ned Nwoko Denies Rumors of Marriage to Actress Chika Ike

The senator representing Delta North senatorial district at the National Assembly, Ned Nwoko, has dismissed recent rumors alleging that he is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant with his child.

Speculation surrounding Nwoko’s marriage to actress Regina Daniels intensified after Daniels deactivated her Instagram account. Reports circulating online claimed that she deleted her account following allegations that Nwoko had fathered a child with Ike, who recently shared pictures of her baby bump on social media.

In response, Nwoko, through a statement released by his communications office on Monday, labeled the claims as “baseless” and “a product of malicious speculation.”

The senator also refuted reports linking him to comments about singer Tuface Idibia and polygamy, dismissing the allegations as entirely false.

A viral report had falsely attributed a statement to Nwoko in which he allegedly praised Tuface for embracing polygamy, claiming it fosters balance and prevents infidelity. The fabricated quote read: “2face is a real representation of the African man. Wealth is defined by how many wives and children you have. Yes, they are at the forefront of your success as a man. Do you also see how he proposed to Natasha without kneeling down?”

Nwoko’s office clarified that as a public figure, and with his wife being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers to fabricate sensational stories for attention.

The statement further emphasized that “Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions. This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.”
