SENATOR ABDULAZIZ YARI ABUBAKAR (MARAFAN SOKOTO) COMMENCES DISTRIBUTION OF 496 TRUCKS OF FOOD ITEMS TO VULNERABLE RESIDENTS OF ZAMFARA STATE UNDER THE 2025 RAMADAN WELFARE PACKAGE
Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Marafan Sokoto), former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, has officially launched the distribution of 496 trucks of food items as part of his 2025 Ramadan Welfare Package.
The distribution exercise commenced on Saturday, March 1, 2025, in Kaura Namoda, Gusau, and Talata Mafara and is being carried out simultaneously across all 14 Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state. The initiative aims to provide essential food supplies to vulnerable residents, ensuring they can begin the Ramadan fast with ease.
Senator Yari emphasized that the program is non-political and inclusive, designed to reach beneficiaries in all 147 Wards of Zamfara State. He reaffirmed his commitment to the growth and development of the state, stating that he considers all of Zamfara his constituency and will continue to support its people in every possible way.
Representing Senator Yari at the event, Dr. Lawal M. Liman (Gabɗon Kaura), head of the Senator A. A. Yari Political Organization, urged officials responsible for the distribution to carry out their duties with honesty, transparency, and efficiency. He stressed the importance of ensuring that all designated beneficiaries receive their allocated food items within the next four days.
Food Distribution Breakdown:
Each beneficiary will receive:
✔ One (1) 50kg bag of rice
✔ 100kg of millet
✔ 100kg of maize
✔ One (1) kilogram of sugar
The initiative reaffirms Senator Yari’s dedication to supporting the welfare of Zamfara residents, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
