Sen. Uba Sani, who is the Chairman Senate committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions on Friday 6th of November, 2020 bagged the prestigious 4th NASS 2020 Award (Lockdown edition) as the most active senator of the year 2020 (Northern region).
Sani represents Kaduna central at the Nigerian Senate.
The award, a brainchild of the Nigerian Assembly Newspapers was presented to the distinguished Lawmaker following his achievements within the space of 1 year.
While presenting the award, the Coordinator of the award, Omoboye Oluwole and Ms Toyin Suleiman said the Kaduna state Lawmaker not only sponsored many bills and motions but has also directly touched the lives of his constituents through women and youth empowerment, educational development initiatives, scholarships and poverty alleviation programmes among others, adding that the Lawmaker has blazed the trail in the history of Kaduna central senatorial district.

Meanwhile, the Lawmaker lauded the organisers for their foresight and for tracking the achievements of elected officials, noting that it was a clear indication that his modest contributions has been recognised by Nigerians.
He explained that the award would encourage him to focus more and work even harder for the betterment of his constituents and the nation at large.
“When I assumed office, I formed a formidable team, headed by a senior legislative Aide and other experienced staff to form a structure down to the Local Governments of my senatorial district. People were gathered and consultations made in order to know their immediate needs”.
The Senator expressed optimism that bills passed into law in the 9th national assembly would be assented by President Muhammadu Buhari, stressing that those bills are people oriented and primary objectives of the APC administration.
