REPS MOVES MOTION TO ENSURE THAT ELIGIBLE VOTERS ARE REGISTERED AND GIVEN THEIR PVC

At the plenary on Tuesday members of the house of reps urge the Independent National electoral commission (INEC) to continue the registration of voters in various centers to ensure that those eligible to vote are registered and given their permanent voters card.
Hon Ayeola Abayomi Abdul who moved the motion said that many Nigerians who have attained the age of 18 and above are having difficulty getting their permanent voters card ( PVC) even after availing themselves to be registered. He also noted the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have not been able to effect the transfer of the voting centers of voters who wants their voting center else where due to change of location.
The lawmakers expressed that if the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) do not intensify it effort and correct it lapses, voters will be disenfranchised in 2019 election.
Hon Nasiru Amed who spoke on the motion said that everyday people turn 18 and mostly people get transferred from their present location to another hence the need for the independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to make sure that Nigerians get registered and given their permanent voters card and also make transfer of centers when necessary.
