The house says that there has been consistent outright violation of the rights of passengers by local airline Operators. The house also note that many of these airlines while perpetrating seria ill- treatment of passengers don’t adhere to conditions of their contacts. These abuse range from flight delays, penalty for missed flights, discriminatory charges and more which are not in the global practice in the aviation industry. The house says that it is worried that these practices by airline Operators is portraying Nigeria in bad light to the international community patronizing the airlines for various engagements.
The house has mandate the committee on aviation to liaise with the relevant airline Operators to ensure that passengers rights and privileges are satisfactorily respected by airline Operators.
