The commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State command Mr Akinwande Aboluwoye has alleged that the report of the insecurity in osun state axis especially the Ikire-ife express way is well exaggerated beyond the actual incident
The security Chief made this allegation while he was on courtesy visit to the newly inaugurated speaker of the state Rt (Hon ) Timothy Owoeye at the state of Assembly to congratulate him and brief him on the security situation in the state.
Mr Aboluwoye said the state has been enjoying relative peace prior to the reported attack by the men of the under world, and the security outfit has been taking measures to tackle the insecurity. He mentioned that their has been strategic meetings by security chiefs in the state, and Also there has been discussions with Governor Mr Gboyega oyetola at ilesha and Osogbo to take realistic and lasting solutions to the insecurity problems , and he want the speaker to put cement on what was discussed upon.
The Speaker in his response claimed that the state remained the most peaceful state in the country despite the insecurity challenges and promised that the house of Assembly will partner with security agencies in the state in order to safe guard lives and properties in the state.
The speaker thanked the service chief for the visit and believes that the meeting will send a signal to the men of the under world that they should keep off the state
