*Ondo Local Govt Election: Senator Adegbonmire Gives Cash Gifts to APC Candidates in Ondo Central*
The Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Adeniyi Adegbonmire, SAN, has donated the sum of N11 Million to all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in his constituency, who are vying for the positions of Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councillors, in the upcoming local government election in the state. The Senator donated the money in order to facilitate the victories of each of the candidates at the polls.
Hon. Akinloye Bolarinde, the Senior Legislative Aide to the Senator, disclosed that the Distinguished Senator made the donation partly as a way of fulfilling his pledge to support the party and its candidates at all times.
He added that the Chairmanship candidates in each of the six local governments that make up the Senatorial District received N500,000; while the six Vice Chairmanship candidates received N250,000 each. And each one of the Councilloship candidates in the 65 wards of the District was given N100,000.
According to Hon. Akinkoye, the largesse from the Chairman of Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters; will not only help to boost the chances of the candidates in the election but also help the party to sweep to a resounding victory.
Then, he appealed to all members of the party and the electorate in general to come out en masse on Saturday 18th January and vote for all the candidates of the party in all the 18 local governments, and 203 wards across the state.
