The past governor of. Imo state and the senator representing imo west, Rochas okorocha has urged Nigerian lectures to be active on duty as the leaders of the generation.
okorocha stated this on Tuesday, July 16, while contributing to the motion sponsored by senator representing akwa ibom south, Eyakenyi Akon Etim. Etim’s motion was on the sorry state computer education among teachers and public schools.
he argued that most of the lecturers are not doing well in their various universities as supposed leaders at the university level.
“most of the lecturers in our various universities are not doing well, adding that, we have lots of unwanted staffs in our universities”.
meanwhile senator Etim disclosed that computer knowledge is been taught in both primary and secondary schools across Nigeria, adding that almost all aspect of Nigerian and global sectors is now ICT based.

he therefore urged the federal government and all the stakeholders in the education sector to address the sorry state of computer by providing computer training for teachers in public schools and basic computer facilities for proper training of students in computer knowledge.
