Paramount Ruler of Dee-eewa village in Kwawa community of Khana Local Government Area, HRH, Chief Amb. Magnus Edooh in Rivers State has taken over the burden of enrollment of over ten out of school children into Community Secondary School, Kono.

The children who are ages 12-14 had no hope of enrolling for secondary education due to the inability of their parents to afford their school uniforms, sandals and other prospectives.

Chief Edooh said the quest to have a community free from crime propelled him to take up the responsibility with further promise to see them through their entire academic journey to first degree level if they perform creditably well irrespective of the cost implications.

Speaking on behalf of the parents, Patience Godwin expressed deep joy and applauded the Monarch’s gesture describing it as a laudable and proactive step to curb the breeding of criminal minded wards in the society. She further admonished the children to be very committed to their studies and ensure they bring honour to the Monarch, parents and the community.

Responding on behalf of the children, Yaabari Nelson and Glory Peace expressed deep joy and excitement at the Monarch’s promise and assured that they will be good ambassadors to the community.
