President Muhammadu buhari today held a closed door meeting with the speakers of the state houses of Assembly .
The meeting which was held at the presidential villa has all the speakers in attendance except for the speaker of Oyo state and Edo state who were absent from the closed door meeting.
Although, The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina, announced that the Speakers were on a courtesy visit to the President. A reliable source disclosed to the Nigeria Assembly news that the state legislatures autonomy is the key reason for the meeting.
At the meeting also were the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, Permanent Secretary, State House, Jamil Arabi and the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters.
