The Bayelsa State House of Assembly has given its nod to the 2024-2027 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper (MTEF-FSP) upon resumption from recess. This document serves as the foundation for the preparation of the state’s annual budget.
In a related development, Governor Sen. Douye Diri has nominated two individuals for membership in the State Independent Electoral Commission. Barr. Perediyegha Ajoko and Hon. Emmanuel Charles are scheduled to appear before the House for screening on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Furthermore, the House has approved the Governor’s request to appoint 12 additional Special Advisers.”
