The Association of Wives of FCT Traditional Rulers (AWTR) and the coalition of NGOs promoting the right of the indigenous People are deeply saddened by the recent building collapse in Garki, the heart of the Federal Capital Territory. We extend our deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in this tragedy.
The building collapse is a reminder of the dangers of substandard construction and the need for stricter building codes. We call on the authorities to investigate the cause of the collapse and to take steps to ensure that such a tragedy does not happen again.
We also call on the indigenes women of FCT to come together in support of the families and friends of those who were injured and those who lost their Businesses. We must stand together in solidarity during this difficult time.
The FCT Indigenous People are a group of people who are native to the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. They are committed to preserving their culture and heritage, and to ensuring the development of the FCT in a way that benefits all residents.
