Auditor General of Nigeria cloned with poor performance and negligence of statutory duty – Senate Committee
The Senate Committee at the budget defence accused the Auditor General of poor performance and negligence of it’s statutory responsibilities.
Senator Mathew Orhighide, the chairman of the committee disclosed that N850m set aside for overhead in the 2020 budget only # 680 m was expended.
The Senate Committee on public Account also accused the Auditor General of Federation of instutionalizing corruption in Nigeria.

The Committee also accuse the Auditor General of hoarding money voted for Capital project and overhead, saying this largely accounted for the prevailing corruption and fraud in MDAs
