The lawmakers on Wednesday during it plenary session noted that some officers of the Nigeria customs service engaged in sporadic shooting which had led to the death of many persons across Jigawa, Kaduna, kastina, Kano states .
Hon Mohammed Kazawuri who moved the motion said that it is the duty of the government to see that the lives of it citizen’s are protected. He noted that one Zubairu Muktar was shot by an officer of the Nigeria customs service without any cause and many others.
Hon Hassan Saleh who also spoke on the motion of matter of public importance, said that if those who are supposed to protect the lives of people engage in this act what will become of Nigerians. He advised that the matter be given serious attention.
The house expressed that the the recent action by the Nigeria customs Service is a threat to the security of the country and the lives of the people of the affected state as well.
