Senator Enoh to Strengthen Industrial Collaboration with Stakeholders, Begins South-West Tour

In alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, is set to embark on a two-day industrial tour of the South-West on Wednesday, February 12, and Thursday, February 13, 2025.

Objective of the Tour

Senator Enoh stated that the tour aims to strengthen collaboration between the government and industry stakeholders, addressing both challenges and opportunities within Nigeria’s industrial sector.

“This tour will serve as a catalyst for industrial growth, foster innovation, and provide much-needed support to the private sector, which plays a vital role in economic development,” he said.

Key Activities and Stakeholder Engagements

During the tour, the Minister will hold meetings with key government officials, including:

  • Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State
  • Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State

He will also visit and inspect major industries operating in these states to assess their contributions to Nigeria’s industrial landscape.

Industries to be Visited

According to the Minister’s itinerary, some of the industries scheduled for inspection include:

  • Sunflag Nigeria Limited
  • GB Foods
  • Friesland Campina Nigeria Plc
  • Berger Paints
  • Mojec International Limited
  • Coleman Wire & Cable
  • Equipment and Protective Application International Limited (EPAIL)
  • Veenocks Tiles

Strategic Industrial Focus

The industrial tour aligns with the administration’s broader industrial revolution agenda and supports the Minister’s six key priorities, which include:

  1. Nigeria Automotive Industry Development Plan (NAIDP)
  2. Special Agro-Processing Zones (SAPZ)
  3. Cotton, Textiles, and Garments (CTG) Industry
  4. Petrochemical, Chemical, and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
  5. MSME Census
  6. Industrial Revolution Work Group (IRWG)

The tour is expected to bolster industrial policies, improve stakeholder engagement, and enhance Nigeria’s economic growth through industrialization.
