The Chairman Committee on sports, House of Representatives, Honourable Kabiru Amadu {Mai Palace}, The honourable member representing the good people of Gusua/Tsafe Federal Constituency In National Assembly Earlier today, reaffirmed his commitment on sports.
The New Chairman House of Representative Committee on Sports, *Hon. Kabiru Amadu* , in his remarks, thank Almighty Allah and the Honourable speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt.Honourable *Tajudeen Abbas, PhD,* the entire leadership of the House and the Esteemed colleagues in the Green chamber for finding him worthy to be appointed as the Chairman of the great Committee.
Moving further in his remarks, he said, the new Chairman Commend the tenacity, passion, zeal and dedication of the late Chairman, *Hon.Ekene Abubakar Adams* and the able deputy, Honourable *Jajere Buba Mohammed* for piloting the Committee successfully in the last one year.
*Kabiru* noted that; the task of repositioning of sports Committee for optimum performance is feat we all must accomplished.
He further solicit for Unity, cooperation, dedication and time, urging that , they can jointly forge ahead and advance the cause of sports in Nigeria to an enviable status.
Further In his remarks, he Noted that the committee work plans is input, that sports is a veritable instrument of reducing crime and unemployment if optimally pursued and it’s can generate big foreign exchange to countries all over the world.
*Hon. Kabiru* say, there’s a need for timely and adequate preparation for the forthcoming Olympics scheduled to take place in Los Angeles in 2028 in order not to avoid the dismal performance of the Paris Olympic.
He however, urged the committee should ensure that, the agencies under the purview perform their statutory mandates to the benefit of the greatest majority of Nigerians by periodic engagement and conduct of oversight.

He concludes by wishing the Nigerian supper eagle success in the forthcoming matches against Libya, tomorrow, Friday 11th, of October 2024 and the return match on the 13th of October in Benin, Libya. “He said”.
Contributing to the committee meeting,
*Hon. Adamu Hashimu* , Of Ningi/Warja Fed.constituency Says that; the committee should engage the appropriate authorities and painstakingly look into all the challenges contending with all the Sports Federation with a view of overcoming them. And for the betterment of our vibrant and articulated youths and Nigerians at large.
Speaking further, *Hon.Inuwa Garba* , *Hon.Uchenna H.* Okonkwo of Idilimi North/South Federal Const. Highlights the burning issues of decaying sporting infrastructure across the country, noting especially, the national stadium, that the stadium should be urgently looked into and address through an adequate budgetary allocation.
On the other hand, contributing to the meeting, *Hon.Gaza J.Gbefi of* Karu/Keffi/Kokona Fed.const. Says The committee envisage sustainable development plan, detailing grassroots programs, training facilities, comprehensive medical supports systems, strategic players rotation designed to promote football development and other sporting activities across the nation, through the Federal ministry of sports development.
He urged Nigeria football Federation (NFF) to be proactive , sort out the problem bedeviling football administration across board.
