Some young men of Ogoni extraction have been trained on social media management by the Lincgreen Climate Change Initiative in collaboration with the Prime Ogoni Magazine.
The programme which held at the Aldgate Congress Hotel in Port Harcourt for two days between Thursday 12 and Friday 13 September 2024, saw trainees undergo trainings in content creation engulfing development, posting and management. The trainees were drawn from the Prime Ogoni Magazine with a mandate of promoting the socio-political, economic, environmental and cultural heritage of Ogoni and the activities of the President, Movement for the Survival of Ogoni People MOSOP, Engr. Andah Wai-Ogosu.
The two days event centred around creating contents and brands in the different social media handles such as X formerly known as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, YouTube amongst others.
In his brief charge, Engr. Ogosu explained that his quest to have a proper and effective communication team propelled his decision to endorse and sponsor the training.
Lead Trainer, Diolu Tobechukwu Prosper highlighted the ample opportunities in social media management and tasked beneficiaries to be committed to the impacts gained from the programme which can be self sufficient and sustaining.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Dick Nwiku, Kpaedee Felix Samuel and Collins Lebete applauded the magnanimity of Engr. Andah Wai-Ogosu describing him as a digital and open minded leader.
